Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin was born in Wellington, Manitoba. She grew up there. She made her acting debut as Flora McGrath, The romantic-drama film Piano. Paquin is a Canadian and actress from New Zealand. Born in Winnipeg but raised in Wellington the city where she was born, she was the first actress to appear in The Piano. In this romantic drama, she was the age of 11, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin, born July 24, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the bright and curious child of Holly Hunter's lead character in The Piano. The part as Flora McGrath - the daughter of the Scottish muffle pianist in New Zealand at mid-19th Century was hers at an audition for the role. At nine, she had little or any experience in acting. In her teens, Paquin relocated to America. Paquin played Jane Eyre's main character when she was an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as her main character for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 movie Amistad. She was a teenager on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) as well as the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
