April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US is part of a select group of women who have been awarded medals at several Olympics. Ross will compete in Tokyo for her third Olympic gold medal along with Alix Klineman, who is a first time Olympian. Ross hopes to win her Olympic debut gold, but she is also aiming to win more. At 39 this may be her final chance to achieve it. However, she's confident that winning the gold medal is at hand. Ross was quoted in NBC Boston as saying that If you put in your top, even if you do well, we'll get the gold. Therefore, I'm hoping to have a little bit of luck too. Ross born the 22nd, 1982 at Costa Mesa California. She lived there together with her parents. In Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of activities. In addition to the indoor game, she also was a basketball player and also ran track as a pre-collegiate athlete. While she did well in indoor volleyball however, it was evident that her abilities were higher than the average. In her time at high school, she was a middle blocker outside hitter and setter in the court for volleyball, according to her college bio. In recognition of her work she was awarded the 1999 Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. The 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Month award was also won by her for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been performing their roles from 2017.
